The Book Launch is Just Around the Corner

My godson found out I wrote a memoir. He wanted to read it. He was too young. So he decided he was going to write his own book. When I asked him what he wanted to write about, he didn't hesitate. "A wrench that wants to be a hammer." We went back and forth — me asking questions, him answering with the kind of certainty only a kid has — and somewhere in that conversation I realized he'd already written the story. I just had to listen closely enough to find it. THIS is that story. His idea. My book. Both of ours, honestly. It's not published yet. But when it is, you'll be the first to know.
